Make Hard Conversations Possible

White Men as Full Diversity Partners helps organizations transcend the barriers so that once difficult conversations are no longer taboo, but normal and valued. In our learning labs and consulting sessions, we create safe, comfortable and inspirational environments where candor thrives and participants come to understand and appreciate both the difference and sameness they see in themselves and others.

Lectures, mandates and policy statements – the usual substance of diversity programs – can’t begin to accomplish what honest dialogue can do. But this dialogue must involve everyone, especially white male executives and managers.

Leaders gain critical leadership skills in:

  • deep listening
  • the courage to be authentic
  • living with ambiguity
  • sharpening action with deeper reflection
  • balancing paradoxes
  • managing difficult conversations

One of my biggest takeaways is that other highly educated and intelligent people are also confused or scared when talking about diversity. If you take the time to truly hear someone and understand their perceptions, you are on the path to inclusion.

  • A Leader's Investment

"It's never easy to give up the better part of a work week, but this event is well worth it. More than any other training or discussions I have previously participated in, I left this event with a deeper personal understanding of diversity and inclusion issues on both an intellectual and emotional level. More importantly, I left with an improved understanding of how I can be a better leader in a diverse environment. I recommend this for all senior leaders. If you choose to attend, bring an open mind and a willingness to fully participate."
